Suzuki Margalla Overview The 1st Generation Suzuki Margalla made its debut in 1992 as a front-engine, front-wheel-drive subcompact sedan. Essentially, it was a modified version of the Suzuki Cultus Hatchback, transformed into a sedan. Initially introduced by Pak Suzuki Motors in Pakistan under the chassis code SF310 and the name “Suzuki Sedan,” production of the Suzuki Margalla came to a halt in 1998. It offered competitive pricing compared to other cars in its class within the local market.
Exterior Suzuki Margalla embraced a minimalistic design language. The front end featured trapezium-styled, side-swept headlights, a rectangular grille, a black-colored bumper with a curved outward design, and an air intake. At the rear, long horizontal rectangular taillights spanned the trunk’s length, accompanied by an outward-sticking black bumper. All variants of the Suzuki Margalla shared identical styling, reflecting the restrained design typical of sedans from the early nineties.
Interior The interior of the 1st Generation Suzuki Margalla featured grey plastic trim pieces, with fabric-covered seats in the front and rear. Standard features in the GL variant included a stereo speaker audio system, tachometer, and manual windows. The GL Plus added air conditioning, while the GLX included power steering, power door locks, and power windows. Most of the controls within the Suzuki Margalla were finished in black plastic and operated manually. Despite its compact sedan dimensions, the interior offered a good amount of space but fell short in terms of comfort and interior refinement.
