Audi e-tron GT Overview

Audi e-Tron GT Shines in the Pakistani EV Scene

As Pakistan’s electric vehicle industry gains momentum, it’s no surprise to see more environmentally conscious cars hitting the market. Among the latest additions are the all-electric marvels, the E-Tron GT and RS E-Tron GT, courtesy of Audi.

E-Tron GT Series: Where Speed Meets Sustainability

The E-Tron series is designed to deliver a thrilling, sports car-like experience while minimizing its impact on the environment. The E-Tron GT is Audi’s response to the global competition, taking on heavyweights like the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.

Audi e-tron GT Exterior: A Masterpiece of Design

Both the new Audi E-Tron GT quattro and Audi RS e-tron GT 2023 showcase a cutting-edge, sleek design. Audi’s head of design, Marc Lichte, hails it as his finest creation to date. The design bears a striking resemblance to Audi’s A7, with the distinct absence of a front grille. The iconic four-ringed emblem takes center stage on a plastic plinth at the front. Matrix LED headlamps with Audi laser light, dynamic lighting schemes, and dynamic turn signals illuminate the road ahead. At the rear, infinite LED rear combination lamps with dynamic lighting schemes and dynamic turn signals set these cars apart.

The aerodynamic design aids in achieving top speeds, complemented by intelligent air inlets at the front, vented wheel arches, and a striking rear diffuser. Power-adjustable, heated, power-folding, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors, along with a panoramic sunroof, add to the allure. The Audi E-Tron GT quattro boasts 19-inch alloy wheels, while the Audi RS e-tron GT flaunts 20-inch alloy wheels, both featuring a distinctive 5-double-spoke offset style in Black, diamond-turned wheels.

Audi e-tron GT Interior: Sustainability Meets Luxury

Inside both the Audi E-Tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT, a commitment to eco-friendliness is evident. These vehicles offer the option to forgo leather and opt for resource-efficient materials throughout the interior. Seating capacity accommodates four passengers, with the possibility of adding a fifth, although it might be a tad snug. Ample legroom is provided for rear passengers, though headspace may be slightly limited.

The angular dashboard hosts multiple digital displays, including an instrument panel and a 10.1-inch media display. The luxury infotainment features, a hallmark of Audi, are all on display, controllable via steering wheel switches and voice recognition software.

Both variants come equipped with a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless charging, and a 16-speaker audio system. Other premium features include ambient interior lighting, a head-up display, heated and cooled power front seats with driver’s seat memory, and an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror. The D-shaped leather-wrapped steering wheel offers electric steering wheel adjustment and convenient cup holders for all passengers. This interior isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s designed for function as well.

Advanced Safety Features for a Smooth Ride

Both the Audi E-Tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT 2023 come loaded with driver-assistance features to ensure a safe and comfortable journey. These include adaptive cruise control, standard forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and remote self-parking via a smartphone app. The parking aid Plus with a 360° display and the comfort key with sensor-controlled luggage compartment release add to the convenience.

Audi e-tron GT Engine: Powerful and Efficient

The Audi quattro and RS e-tron GT boast potent dual motors with a two-speed automatic transmission. The E-Tron GT is equipped with a 93.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing 83.7 kWh of available energy and 630 Nm of torque. In contrast, the RS e-tron GT features a 93.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, generating 830 Nm of energy.

The front motor in both models delivers 175kWh (235hp), while the rear motor in the GT delivers 320kW (420hp), and in the RS e-tron GT, it’s 335kW (450hp). Audi claims that both variants can achieve a full charge in just 22 minutes using a household plug type G (UK) with the compact e-tron charging system.

Audi e-tron GT Mileage: Eco-Friendly Efficiency

The Audi E-Tron GT quattro consumes 21.6 kWh/100 km in the city and 19.9 kWh/100 km on the highway, while the RS e-tron GT records 22.5 kWh/100 km in urban areas and 20.6 kWh/100 km on the highway. The quattro reaches a top speed of 245 km/h, while the RS e-tron GT variant hits 250 km/h. The E-Tron GT accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers in 4.5 seconds, with the RS e-tron GT variant doing it in just 3.6 seconds. Speed is limited in both variants.

Audi e-tron GT Colors: Aesthetic Choices

Choose from an array of captivating colors for your Audi E-Tron GT and RS E-Tron GT, including:

  • Tango Red Metallic

Audi e-tron GT Ride & Handling: Performance Excellence

Audi has left no stone unturned in ensuring outstanding performance. The Audi E-Tron GT quattro handles all types of roads with ease, even at top speeds, offering a smooth and effortless driving experience. The RS e-tron GT, on the other hand, brings a sportier edge to the table. It cruises through curves silently and efficiently, delivering agile handling without a hint of noise.

Both variants feature a rear motor with a 2-speed transmission, optimized for efficiency and performance. The Audi E-Tron GT quattro primarily operates in second gear to maximize range, while the RS e-tron GT remains in first gear for spirited performance in sport mode, shifting gears at 100 km/h.

Audi e-tron GT Maintenance: Low Maintenance Eco-Warrior

Thanks to their electric nature, neither transmission nor engine fluids, nor gasoline are required for maintenance. There’s no need for filter replacements, making the Audi e-tron GT a remarkably low-maintenance vehicle.

Audi e-tron GT Competitors: A Global Standoff

In the Pakistani market, the Audi E-Tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT currently stand unchallenged. However, internationally, they face stiff competition from the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.

Porsche Taycan shares a common platform with the GT variants, the J1 Performance Platform, developed by Porsche for the Taycan. Despite being an attractive alternative, the Taycan’s lower price tag puts it in direct competition with Audi.

Tesla Model S competes with the Audi E-Tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT in terms of driving range. While the Audi variants offer an impressive 488 kilometers on a single charge, Tesla provides even more mileage. The Model S boasts superior interior space but falls short when it comes to the GT variants’ exceptional performance.
